made a pin for my lube sizer with a cup that keeps the lube from lubing the gas check section http://s1066.photobucket.com/user/canuck4570/media/IMG_0519%202_zps8t1emdib.jpg.html>http://s1066.photobucket.com/user/canuck4570/media/IMG_0522_zpsjlkuxkr5.jpg.html>http://s1066.photobucket.com/user/canuck4570/media/IMG_0523_zpsxpzae7c4.jpg.html>

Nice work there - can you tell me if the measurements you took to make this were for one particular brand of check as I have found some brands vary?

Reason asking I could see burring occurring with wider/longer checks not fitting as well perhaps...? Seems this way would obviate the need for the check tool at least on the 4500....

That said, I do like you idea...well done......Lee:^:

it was machine in depth until the gas check section sits completely inside the cup I have a pin for 45 caliber also most of my mold are Seaco and a few from mountain mold and they seem to be all the same depth as far has diameter may be 2 to 3 tousand of a inche never had shaving of the gas check section hop this answers your question gas check don't matter since you don't put gas check when lubing with this pin when you want gas check you change the pin
