.300 Rook

Hi team

Is anyone shooting a .300 Rook?  I have a Martini rifle belonging to a friend.  Presently I am neck turning the Bertram brass as the neck wall is far to thick to accept a .300 bullet (.300 Rook uses a true .300 bullet not .308).  I'd really like to get some suitable bullets (70-80gr) for testing.  Even .300 air rifle bullets.  Can anyone help out?

Accurate Molds has a nice .300"diameter 90 gr with a flat nose that would be great for small game and it has micro lube grooves that are excellent for simple tumble lube. It is designed for air rifles.

Accurate will custom any of their 30 cal molds to .300 diameter but this one looks great for a Rook.

Gary, that's exactly the bullet I was looking at for the rifle; great minds!.  There is also a nice 75gr but I like the longer bearing surface of the 80B.

Keep on the back burner that you can also order Lee Lube and Size bullet sizing kits in custom sizes for $38 :

You may end up doing a 2 stage size of .309 bullets to .300” and need 2 custom Lee lube and Size kits.

doesn't a true rook cartridge use a rebated base ? ...  usually the case neck od is groove diameter of the barrel ....  i still want to build a match grade rebated base rifle ... just gotta be wonderful !!
