Got lucky on another GunBroker auction.  Never expected my $300 bid would win it!  Somebody's "sock drawer" gun, bore mint, zero end shake, cylinder gap pass 0.004/ hold 0.005", cylinder throats .362", range report will follow.

Year of production is 1925.

Sights are on at 25 yards with factory 146-grain LRN.

Good shooter.

Most .38 S&W fixed sight guns shoot "on" with 2.5 grains of Bullseye and 36-155D or 36-159H.

My British S&W Victory requires 36-176P, whereas my Aussie one likes 36-190T

Bullet Weight Vs. POI

My 9mm S&W 940 when using either cast in 9mm or .38 S&W ammo without clips requires 36-142H to be spot-on.

My "Bubba'ed Banker Special with 2-1/2" barrel likes 36-190T.

Ed, maybe you should consider buying some lottery tickets, your luck seems to be very good lately!

I think a lot of guys when they figure out 38 S&W is not 38 Special, decide they don't want the gat.  I like it when they think like that, more such for the rest of us who appreciate them!

Nice.  Almost certain I was watching that one and a number of others.  But really trying to get a Colt in 32-20 first.  And maybe a Colt in 32 S&W Long.  Or Smith.  Then going to try to pick up a cpl Colts or Smiths like this in 38 SPC.

That is a very fine deal, and a great looking revolver. Good shooting to you.

Well, have you had a chance to shoot this one yet?  Have you figured out what year of production is?

Quite a bargain for a really excellent wheel-gun.  I guess handloads with 145 to 150 grain bullets would be what it likes.

Good shooting.
