Well, it has been a while since I've been here and have been hard on myself for that as of late. Every once in a while I just go off in a different direction & get deeply involved with one of my other hobbies that I'm passionate about. That would be woodworking. The loading bench has been idle and the height of the  piles of lead ingots stacked under the bench is unchanged. It's time . . . .

If someone else had of done to me what I did to myself . . . I'd have killed him. Humility is an asset. Heh - heh.

Hi Gary,

No new rifle . . . yet. Actually getting ready to sell a couple of rifles. 7MM Rem. Mag & .270 Winchester. Both are fine, fine shooters with jacketed but cast in those simply defeats the purpose of their configuration. That . . . and I don't shoot from "mountain to mountain" anymore. The .270 Winchester has been (for almost 40 years) my all time favorite deer rifle . . . hands down! The 7MM Rem Mag is another great rifle but that big belted mag. is a little hard on me with full power jacketed these days. I did try on several occasions to load cast for these rifles but never with success. Although once a huge fan of Hi-Power jacketed, age & experience dictates that out of the box accuracy is no fun anymore. That & the fact that I have never taken more than one shot to take a deer in my life solidifies the excitement in playing more with my Handi's in .444 Marlin & .308 Winchester. I found, for myself, that casting for anything smaller than .30 caliber is a fruitless venture or maybe it's just that I like those big, meaty projectiles. Sort of like slinging an "outhouse" through the air at 1800 FPS & doing it with accuracy . . . so much fun.
