Hello all,

Shenandoah Valley resident, born and raised in western Virginia. Have reloaded since the '70's, hunting rifle loads, older now so have been shooting more small caliber pistol, easier on the hands these days and I have shot black powder rifles and pistol since the late 70's. Currently I load for 32 long, H&R, and 327 Federal. I purchase my lead bullets from many different sources and enjoy reading all I can on cast bullets and shooting. Thanks adding me.

welcome Bob;  i see you are shooting some of the " short rimmed 30's " ... if you use the " search " button on the right side of this forum, you will find quite a lot of interest in these ( including the 32-20 ) for an easy-to-load-and-hit-with cartridge for cast shooting ..

i am probably one of the few members here who do not currently have a gun in one of those cartridges, but still get a kick out of the reports of those who do ......

in the same ball park, i keep thinking i need something in a 357 maximum ..... there is just something about  big holes in a paper target ... and i only need 5 to 20 grains of powder in my old age ...

Thank you John for the information about CBA membership and the sample copy of The Fouling Shot. I will explore and think I will enjoy all the information here. Still learning my way around here. Thanks again.

Thanks for the welcome Ken. Also thanks for pointing me to the search feature on the right side, I hadn't  see  that yet, been sidetracked seems like all day today. You are correct...I really enjoy the 30"s....the old hands ache.....Am shaky as all getout these days but I still enjoy paper punching and small game hunting.

Traded off a .357 quite a few years ago, now I wish I hadn't.....I'm sure you know how that old story goes.!  Now keep thinking about the 45 colt or 44 special, soft loads also.
