Good morning Bob
I shot several thousand rounds through 3 - 243 winchesters last summer. I had good results with the RCBS 95 gr offering and with the NOE 105 gr bullet. Both of these bullets were on the edge of being unstable in a 10" twist but should be ok with a 9". Modest velocities, a soft alloy and cool dry weather produced my best results. Hot humid weather made this load unstable - don't ask me why. This spring I am going to try another 400 fps faster which will probably require a harder alloy. I never could get the softer alloyed bullets to shoot quite as well in my 9" twist rifles which may have been more about the individual rifle barrels than the twist.
I plan to shoot 243s in all of the matches again this summer.

This topic is also of some interest here because I have a 6mm/223 MGM full bull 14'' Contender barrel throated for cast with an 8'' twist for NOE's 80-105 grainers coming. Only thing is that NOE is out of stock right now, so have been looking around for other similar 6mm designs with like weight and length. Hopefully the NOE's will be back soon.

RCBS 243-095 shot 1-1.5 groups at 100 yards. The 1:9 twist of the 6 Rem seemed to limit velocity below 1900 fps. A load of 15-16 grains of 4227 and linotype worked well. A home made taper die allowed the bullets to be seated further out and accuracy improved a bit. With the taper bullets, groups would shoot into 0.900. Eight pound Remington Model 700.

Right now NOE has a group buy going for an inventory run of the 245-80-FN if interested 15 percent off if one signs up.
Don't know how to make this link work but this is on the NOE forum under the group buy for inventory runs topic.

Ruger #1 in 6mm Remington, shot at Windhill while I still lived in Illinois. The rifle shot well with jacketed, I had both a 70 grain ground squirrel load and a 100 grain coyote load for the rifle.
The barrel was scrubbed to get the jacket fouling out. The forearm was free-floated and held away from the barrel. Scope was a Weaver 12X. Trigger was adjusted down to two pounds, this is an early three trigger adjustment screw rifle. The groups were ten-shot and each group had one or two uncalled flyers. I have lost my records for now, hopefully the remodel will be over and I can find them again.
