I didn't know that the "buy and sell" category on this forum was a "free" venue for commercial venders to peddle their wares, including Ebayers.  Especially non members of the Cast Bullet Association.

Hopefully this will not become a trend. Dues are cheap and membership has some benefits.

He has already been warned. If he doesn't join the CBA within 24 hours, I will delete the threads. We don't mind any CBA member posting firearms/reloaded item for sale, but not non-members.

The fellow should join, I totally agree. If he wants to tell us he has a "store or service" that's great, even better if he promotes us . But he still shouldn't list his inventory on this site. NOE doesn't.

I've been shut down on this before but I don't know why non-CBA members are even allowed to post on this forum. If you can't afford the small amount for CBA dues then I don't see how you can afford to load and shoot much less own a computer. JMHO Gp

If you're making money selling stuff, ya should kick in a few bucks. There really is no such thing as a free lunch. If ya wanna eat at  the free lunch counter, ya gotta buy a beer. Five Cents in 1890.

Is this guy looking for someone to cast bullets for him, so he can sell them on other websites ?

My apologies to all.  I have paid and become a member of CBA.  I did look thru the rules on posting but I missed that requirement.  I have no problems paying for the privilege.

Thanks to David for giving me the heads up and allowing me to make it right.

Agreed!

Other forums that have "buy and sell" catagories don't allow advertising items that are listed some where else. I  recommend that the same restriction be added to this forums rules unless one is a legitimate commercial sponsor.

And, be a dues paying member of the CBA.

I think this shows we should visit the by-laws or rules and have a solid regulation about member selling-trade, sponsors advertising etc. That is unless we have such rules. On other sights there are links to other sites, or separate sponsor categories. It's only fair, and I'm not picking on Ickydvl, he just pointed out the situation. Ross

We don't have an issue here. We don't have spammers hitting the forum like they did on the old site. Jeff & I keep a close eye on things, and as such lckydvl was warned within the first hour of posting. He responded by joining the CBA and he understands now that he can't use the forum to advertise for his business. Any CBA member has the right to post items for sale as long as they are reloading/firearms related, but even with that the postings in the WTBST section will be limited. Lastly you don't have to open a thread for an item in that category if you don't want to.

I don't own a gun shop any longer.  Been a couple decades since I did.  These are left over from those days and I just decided I didn't need them laying around any longer.  Figured someone else could use them so have posted them on various forums to try and get them gone.

As a fellow cast bullet shooter this seemed a logical place to list them.  I'm not a "joiner" but am willing to pay for the opportunity to list things, so I joined CBA as directed.  It was also a logical place to make my previous inquiry about getting cast bullets from someone.  After the kind responses on that I figured this was a group that would appreciate the chance to buy my 40 year accumulation of reloading gear.  The dies were up first as they were the first boxes I could get out of storage.  The collection of casting equipment and molds I can no longer use were next.

Guess I was wrong....  I have removed the threads.  I have no store or web site so will continue to try to get rid of these on other forums.

I don't consider the CBA membership a waste.  I like to read the posts from time to time and will continue to do so.

Up to a point I think having people offer casting and reloading stuff is a plus.  I usually look them over.  Nobody has to waste time on them if they are not interested. I do agree they should be members.

Good morning:  Well, I think this is working out and I do believe David was on top of this. Personally, I enjoy looking over casual sales here and at Boolits, it's the first thing I look over in the morning. It's given me a chance to pick up some nice guns and equipment at fair prices. That said, most of us enjoy an estate or yard sale occasionally but that one neighbor who yard sales 365 days a year is a general PITA so no laundry lists please.  Welcome to the site Andre, there's a lot of great information to be had here and a  lot of good folks sharing it. i have been following this with interest as i, and i suspect several cba people .... have more equipment than we could/will ever use .... heh .... and i have been adding to my computer data base list for a year or so .... and wondering if it would be best to take up several pages here or just announce that i will gladly email that list to any interested cba-ers that are interested .   probably the latter, when/if i get close to adding all the items .

the hard part is admitting that i probably don't ( or won't ... gulp ) ...need all these toys ... heh .  the fun part is discovering gadgets i had forgot about for years ...  anybody need a 100 year old 12 gauge lyman roll crimper for a 12 gauge paper case ?? ....  1955 belding y mull loading book ?? ...   stripper clip full of live ww1 30-06 ?? ... dang this is fun ...
