Will ED's Red harm a gun's finish ?

Such as Hoppe's #9 will remove Nickle. Or M-Pro 7 will remove cold blue ?

If mixed with the acetone, will attack some stock finishes.

No harm to blue, nickel, Parkerizing or anodizing.

Cannot speak to some of the synthetic finishes, Teflon, etc. as I don't use them.
