Great fun! Thanks to Jim, Bob, and Ken for your efforts to make this happen.

Quad sticks work very well. They may in fact work too well. I hope several of you will try them this winter and provide feedback. I think they are too easy for the 50 yard groundhogs. If Ken gets his way and we shoot 200 yard coyotes, they would really come into their own.

Thanks for coming up with this match it was a lot of fun.

Shooting sitting cross sticks with a 3 or more pound trigger pull is a heck of a lot harder that with a set trigger at 4 ounces. A lot of movement waiting for the rifle to fire.

Using a front aperture on my K31 I held the corners of the target top touching the inside of the aperture at 10 and 2 o’clock and the shot hit a few inches low.  Difficult for me to maintain that sight picture.

We should do this again next year and I can help run the match if help is needed.

... one of the several kicks i get out of the groundhog shoots is looking at the different rifles used ... i am thinking if a guy had one of each used for the shoot, he could have a lot of fun making up loads ....

.... the original idea of the groundhog was to give us someplace to shoot all those forgotten 30-06 rigs  ....   heck, they don't even have the word * Creedmore * after the 30-06 .... ( g ) ...

... but then it appeared that there were more " neglected " but worthy rifles out there that are needing a little excercise ... so the very few rules we had were reduced by one to allow any caliber but 22 rimfire ...

thanks guys for participating ... it was an honor to have helped bring a little fun to Y'all ...
