I polished the cavities on that new LYMAN #429667 4cav mold that I rusted up last month. I used quad 0000 steel wool wrapped Q-tip style on a Q-tip stick that I pulled the cotton off. Added some Flitz & time with patience.

Did some casting on Tuesday morning. LYMAN #2 alloy at about 700degrees. After about 10-12 pours I started to get good fill out with no wrinkles or frosting. Took my time. Ended up with 377 keepers after culling.  At the end, those bullets were falling out of the mold 3 outa 4 just opening it. A shake or light hinge tap & the 4th fell out.

I'm a happy caster. Couldn't ask for better.

I think my  next mold will be aluminium from NOE.

I like NOE's brass molds. The brass is way less prone to galding between top of mold and sprue plate.

NOE'S brass mold's are things of beauty. But just too heavy for my old beat up hands.
