So you guys who are also shooting Military Scoped events, what is the best and or your favorite 6X scope that is available today? Someone asked me this week, I didn't have a good answer.

Since the rules allow adjustable power, set at 6X, I would go with the best 6X to 24X (or higher) I could find, with a minimum of 40mm objective. Practice at the higher settings and 6X for the match.

I'm not sure there are any fixed 6X scopes in production right now.  About the only fixed power scopes are Scout scopes.  For rifles at least.

I think you can get mounts for Scout scopes that will mount on a Mauser style rear sight, if someone wants to scope the military rifle with no non-reversible modifications.

Leupold FX3 6x42 no target turrets

Leupold M4 6x38 no target turrets

Weaver K6 no target turrets

*********SWFA 6x42 full turrets - a real sleeper *********

I used a 12X SWFA on my rifle last year. I am going to move up to a 16X this year. They are very good for the price.

Thanks, I will pass on all opinions. I have none, since I have been using my 1960's Lyman All-American 6X from the beginning. It has clear lens, fine cross hairs and tons of adjustments for odd mount drillings. It doesn't have torrent knobs, which is good for me as I lost a couple of matches trying to chase zeros and shooting bad targets.

Not exactly available, but they're out there if you look hard enough: I picked up a 6x 1 1/4" Unertl and am happy as a lark when using it on my 1903A1.

Leupold FX3 Competition with target turrets.  Had mine modified with the fine Dual-X reticle since I have a mental block about using a little black dot to aim at the middle of a big black dot.

My go-to scopes however are the Sightron SIIs, both 4-16 and 6-24.  Good optics and the adjustments have crisp clicks.

My K6, in excellent condition, is for sale

I bought it for that class, in case I would shoot in it but, decided I would use my 6 X 24, Japanese Tasco.

Send me a message if interested.

I like my Athlon 6x24x50. Bright 30mm tube and 50mm objective. Good turrets too.
