I've wandered off in a different direction once again. Black powder this time and have a couple of things I'd like to ask.  Locally all that seems available are the substitutes and I have a pound each of 2F and 3F Triple 7. Shopping at my usual spots I see Graf and Sons have black in stock.  Goex, Swiss and a home brand. $16 to $26 is this source as good as any?  Also, for lube I have on hand a batch of Darr lube I made up sometime back and have heard Darr is similar to SPG can any of you confirm or deny this?  I'll be loading an inline 50 cal., 45-70 and 45 Colt cartridges and maybe 20g shotshells. Some seem to have concerns using Triple 7 in cartridges as it doesn't like compression. Any opinions on that?  Thank you. Gp

Thanks for your help once again Maven.  They look to have a pretty good price buying 5lbs. or more at a time and take credit cards or PayPal. Think I'll do a little business with them SSI payday. Gp

You're most welcome, GP!  I'm a repeat customer and will probably place an order with Crater/Addcted in late April.

Maven: Check out buffalo arms. I bought genuine black from them. Just remember the 30dollar hazmat fee and get several guys go together as the hazmat fee on 40 lbs is the same as 1!

Just a hint, shooting inlines can get down right expensive. If you use full size slugs, lubed of course and loose powder instead of pellets you get more versatility and more economy. Enjoy.

Ross:I'm just getting started with black as you can see. No plans to use many of the expensive pellets as I no longer hunt. For hunting use I think they would be great but for banging a gong or such I'll just use powder. Gp
