First time I come for held.  Excuse any bad writing, I am French speaking.

I just borrowed the scope on the title from a friend and found that the objective lens adjustment looks like it is locked.  Is there a special way to adjust ?   Or is it stuck in old lubricant ?  The same with the turret adjustment knobs, is it possible to free the knobs and set them to 0 ?

Casting since 1961, I am still learning from this great Forum.  Thanks for any help,   Andre

Two things:

  • Do not use force, the internal parts strip easily
  • Do not use penetrating oil - it will penetrate to the lenses

There should be an optics shop nearby who can look at and assess the scope, then disassemble and clean if needed.

These scopes are so old, the parts are hard to find if and when available. These are very good and usable scopes, they do not have the more modern coatings for clarity and sharpness,.

Great scope - be careful.

Thanks BudHyett.

Yes this is a good scope, I like it.  Around here, people say "return it to the company to be repaired".... for the price of a new one !

Shoot many great groups,    Andre
