Is anyone familiar with L&k scope repair from Eldridge, Mo?

I have an older Weaver steel tube T-10 and the objective lenses have started to separate. Otherwise in perfect shape.

Just  ran across the above web site.

I had a Redfield worked on by L&K. Had to send it back on my dime because the turret block was installed wrong. They got it right the second time. Also had a Weaver worked on by ABO in Miami, FL. After less than one box of 300 Savage loads the front lens fell out. Needless to say I don't bother having vintage scopes fixed anymore. As a lover of vintage scopes I just look for another one rather than have them repaired. The cost to repair the scopes is way more than purchasing another one. In your case the T series scopes still command decent prices so it's a gamble you may be willing to take.

I'm not sure about weavers warranty. It might be worth looking into. I have repaired scopes on the past, but if it's not something I can fix, I usually toss it, and buy a scope withe lifetime no questions asked warranty.

Weaver name has been sold at least three times since that scope was made. Leupolds are not guaranteed forever either, just the new ones. Ask me how I know! All of us lovers of vintage scope have the same issues. There are places on the internet for repairing camera lens that may be a better choice if you can get the lens out. HTH, Ric

Hmmm. I prefer modern scopes. If the rifle if old enough a modern scope does not really fit it, I just use iron sights.

Speaking of vintage scopes, I should.list that old balvar I have on this sight. Might be someone here who would appreciate it.

Best brand I have found for Warranty is Vortex.

You can't beat modern scopes as far as clear glass and warranty support. My problem is most look like dog poop with their ugly lines, oversized cartoonish power rings and adjustment knobs, BBQ black finish, and virtually no straight section tube length.

I suppose they are not the most beautiful things out there, but I prefer usability over looks. And I can get a Vortex crossfire 2 for three same price as a older scope that's any good. Not to say I havnt had my fair share of older scopes though. I won't throw one away for a newer scope, but I don't go out looking for them either.

I'm a Vortex fan myself. I own seven and they've worked well for me. Gp

You have got me beat! They do make a fine scope for the money though. Any new scopes I've been buying have been Vortex. Even their low end scopes are pretty nice, and I used a crossfire 2 to click in a 500 yards shot with a 300 blackout.

I cannot say I like or dislike Vortex although I've used several in friend's guns I've never purchased one . Same can be said for Nightforce . I'm still a Leupold person although I admit I try and buy older ones . I do have an old Redfield I'd like to have fixed it's a 24x 6400 that's no longer clear .
