last fall i converted a friend's win. 94 in 30-30 to 38-55 . he was shooting cast single shot so worked fine. got the tang peep and everything .
now he needs to go hog hunting, so needs to get the magazine feeding smoothly with long cast bullets.
the original cartridge guides for the 30-30 don't align the fatter 38 well especially with the longer bullets. they don't let the brass rise enough in the back; mostly rim clearance vertically .
anybody got a photo of a 94 in 38-55 showing how much i need to mill off of the guides around the rim area ?
thanks , ken
