Parker also made bench vices. When I got out of the navy I fell in love with a friends Parker 20ga. being a lad of meager funds I could not afford one. I tried every 20ga. double I could find the only thing that handled close was an SKB that I've used for many years. Frank C.

Actually Parker made a bunch of things at one time or another . At one point they had something to do with making stationary steam engines . If I had known that when I had my Frick traction engines I'd have tried to find one of the engines Parker had something to do with . They also made a version of the 1863 Contract Musket , I've been looking for one of those that wasn't converted to a cartridge gun .

We have traveled many of the same roads. In the eighties I had a steam powered sawmill, AB Farquar boiler (York Pa.)and an 8 1/2x11” ajax engine on top.Worked well but a pain in the arse in the winter so I used diesel in cold weather and steam in warm. Frank C.

My fathers friend that got me started with steam engines had a Farqhuar portable and a stationary we got from an old burned down mill . The first steam engine I bought was an Ajax engine on a stand that was used at the E.A.Clore furniture company in Madison VA .

I had the previously mentioned Ajax and I forgot the size . Also had a Frick stationary 10x12 on a stand , Frick 5x8 portable , Frick 8x10 traction and a Frick 8 1/2x10 traction . I had wanted to add a Frick 7 1/2x9 and 9x10 traction but never did before I lost intrest .
