Perusing Bartlett Reloading and saw this: "BR-5 Recently acquired. Brand new, current production. This is a double-based ball type powder, originally intended for 9x19mm ammo. Meters very consistently. Burning rate is similar to Hercules Unique, which data can be used. Additional data available on request. Clean burning with consistent results. This is new powder, not pulldown. $100/6# jug "

Has anybody tried it? $16.60 a pound is pretty good these days if it's a useful powder. Just have to buy enough to make the HAZMAT fee worth it.

I would consider it if it will burn cleanly at the 10,000 to 14,000 pressure range. Not if it only burns at 25,000 psi plus. Please let me know if you get some! Ric

I'll figure out a way to make it red by 4th of July... maybe!

Ric, I'm hoping the same.  I've sent an email to Mr. Bartlett, will share his response.

Mr. Bartlett reports excellent results using this powder with 230 gr jacketed 45ACP loads but has not heard any reports from people using it low pressure/large case situations. May have to go out on a limb.
