I'm putting together a short 788 for my wife. I need a recoil lug. No find'um. The 700 lug has a .062” larger hole for the tenon. Can I have my smith turn this bit of the tenon to fit the 700's lug? Do one of you fine hoarders have a 788 lug? Thanks in advance, Dane.

I have two Remington 788's which are barreled with custom thicker barrel lugs.

I think both gunsmiths bought an undersized lug from Brownell's or David Tubb and bored the hole to fit.

Otherwise, the Numrich Arms deal will be the best.
