Took a mismatched 98 Preduzece 44 out today and cranked off 20 rounds.  New R-P brass, 10 gr. Unique, 175 gr Lee water-quenched WW GC.

Put 5 on paper at about 40 yards to see where it was shooting, then rang a 100 yd. gong 15 times, 5 rested, 5 standing, 5 kneeling.  I was impressed with the load, the rifle, and with my shooting!  The gong is about 10"x14” I think.

I scored a 10lb. cardboard canister of Unique for $50 at a gun show this Spring. :)

I love shooting those old rifles with light loads.  Next on the list is a SVW MB 98 made while the Germans were still fighting.  One of the last made!
