Hey I’m just wondering if I can buy a 357 mold and use it for making bullets for my legend also now the legend is a .355 bore. Would sizing these thru a 356 sizer be just fine and is there any molds that could make 180 gr bullets that will work for the legend. Thanks again.

Given all the conflicting info on this cartridge all over the net, I would slug the bore and go 2 thou over.

Check NOE and Accurate for a 180 mold.

Several molds I used in .357 Herrett and .35 Remington:

  • RCBS 35-200-FN
  • RCBS 357-180-SIL
  • SAECO #352 (245 gran FNGC)

I was sizing .359 as they came from the mold for the .35 Remington and .358 for the .357 Herrett.

I sent a visiting Florida native friend home from here with about 1,000 of the RCBS 200 grain and the SAECO 245 grain for his .35 Remington. A few years later, he called and needed some more bullets. Seems these cast bullets in that cartridge were good "gator medicine", permanently tamed them on the spot.
