I am shooting extensively modified RCBS bullet in my Hunter class rifle. I would like to have a mould made to produce this bullet directly. I assume there are shops out there who would do this for me but I don't know who they are. Can anyone help with a recommendation? Thanks

If you know the measurements etc you can try making the mold on Mountain Molds and they can reproduce it for about $100 shipped to you !

Anf if I'm not mistaken the folks at “Accurate Molds” can do pretty much the same thing , although you may need to send them your mold to reproduce it .

I've gotten three molds from Mountain Molds . Two of the are great and I am in the process of testing the third now !

As to accurate molds I've never tried their product . But the gentleman that gave me their webpage only recommends places that make good products !

If the bullet you want copied has a meplat of at least .180 you might want to send an email to Tom at Accurate Moulds and see what he says. I've ordered two of his moulds recently and they're top notch. You can choose iron aluminum or brass and he cuts it for the alloy you're using. I also think once he sets up for a design it goes into his catalog.

About a week or a tad more if I remember right. I do rememeber I was pretty impressed. These were existing designs so I don't know how long a new design would take. He answers his emails pretty fast so drop him a line to find out for sure. He always seems to be adding new designs so it'd probably be a good idea to check back now and then to see if he has something close to what you want before sending a new design.

thanks for the immediate response. I don't have a mould as these bullets are the product of being heavily bumped in a sturdy bump die. It is my intent to send him a few of the bullets. Hopefully that will work. Thanks again. I will report back.

A short while back I wanted a special mold made for a 38-55 that had a large neck. I made up a drawing and sent it to Accuratemolds Tom emailed me back saying that he needed to make a few changes in the nose to get the weight that I desired so that was fine with me. He then cut the mold and send it to me and the whole process took less than two weeks. The mold was perfect and really makes that rifle shoot. I'm very happy with the results and highly recommend him.

I have ordered two Molds, one at a time, from Accurate. It was less than a week from the time I sent the first email until I had the mold. Read his web sight. His tolerance is -0.0 to +0.0015. Which is exactly what I got. GREAT molds.

Again I have not gotten a mold from Accurate but have got glowing recomendations from one fellow I hold in high regard !

However the fastest turnaround I've ever gotten for a mold was from Mountain Molds two years ago ! I orderd a copy sort of , of what my friend “Olle” in Sweden had ordered in a 433-400GC and also havd Dan cut me something similar in a 433-375GC . From the moment I placed the order vis the net and did the Paypal to the time the molds were in my hands it was 10 or 11 days . Both molds did nicely and as hoped !

I just recieved my third mold from MM last friday and it has also turned out to be a success . That one took a little longer , 23 days I believe . Stil when I ordered he said expect 4-9 WEEKS so he beat his own production schedule as far as I'm concerned !

A couple of weeks ago I sent Tom a link to a design I wanted but larger late on a Saturday. On Monday he e mailed me that he now had the design cataloged. I ordered it on Monday ,he shiped it Tuesday. It was in my PO box on Friday & may have even been there Thursday , don't know I didn't go postal till Friday. His alignment pins have got to be the smoothest closing I have ever used.

Regardless of whether you get a mold from Accurate or Mountain atleast you don't have to keep calling either to get your mold as I have had to do each and every time I ordered a STANDARD mold from NEI !

I just wanted to report back. I have decided to order two molds from Tom at Accurate Molds. I recently received the first one (just under a week turn around). It is for a 35 cal flat nose bullet. I cast 100 the other day and they are perfect. I will be ordering the second mold fairly soon.

Thanks again for the recommendation

My experience with Tom mirrors Carl's (post #10) .  I ordered Tom's version of the Lee REAL bullet, to my specifications,  on a Monday evening and got it that Thursday.  The workmanship was incredible and it casts as good as it looks and to the exact dimension I requested.:)

I have four of Veral's molds and they all work nicely in both production and in the rifle .

However I do not think he is quite as open to designs that deviate from his prefferred line shall we say .>
