Hi guys it's been a while sense my last post. I thought I would post some pictures of my new twin's. They are Rossi 92's in 44 mag and 45  colt. The 44 has a case color reciever and the 45 has a blue reciever. Both have 24 inch octagon barrels.I cant wait to get them cleaned up and go to the range and sling some lead.

My .357 Rossi shoots way better than I expected. A real treat to carry in the woods.

Beautiful guns you have there. Congratulations. Doesn't Rossi make a 45-70 also?

WHATS THE general quality like on those? A 454 levergun sounds like a blast!

If my memory serves I believe Michael from Ranch Dog Outdoors has said some very complimentary things regarding the Rossi lever guns with cast bullets. Something about the chambers being different than most others.

And every thing that I have been reading on some of the lever action forums is real good as far as being accurate shooters with cast bullets. I will try to get to the range this week end and find out how they shoot.

I forgot the 454 has a 20 inch round barrel.I thought that it might be a little better for hunting if I was going to walk around all day with it, and a shorter barrel might be a little better for fast follow up shots.

Well my twin 92's are going to have a big brother I just won a auction on gun broker for a Rossi 92 in 454 casull I think this just might work for some hog hunting soon.

I ran across a reference to an old TFS article re. the Rossi .357. TFS number 42. You can get the back issues on CD from the CBA web site. The load involved using .38 brass, A2400, and 170 gr. cbs.
