I learned my lesson many, many years ago. I try to keep a couple of years (or better) of the primers that I use. Shortages are cyclic - "yesterday" it was the Korean War, then the Vietnam War, then the Obama years, and now it is the Pandemic. I have a large supply of bullet materials, primers, and powder.
Basically, it boils down to "Take care of YOURSELF, Sisters and Brothers" or you too, will wake up to empty shelves and a sorrowful feeling. Store stuff safely, obey the local Fire Code as well as Federal Regs but look to the future.
I made it to the range a couple of days ago, and you cannot believe how nice it was to get outdoors and BREATHE during the Pandemic. There was only one other person on the pistol range (outdoors) but it was a glorious day! Due to health reasons the past couple of years, I hadn't made it to the range for months. I was more than a bit shaky, but I ended up with some decent targets.
I am BACK IN THE GAME!
This would have NOT been possible, if I didn't have the means to cast my own bullets and reload!
FWIW
