Hello and thank you for letting me join this pleasant group. I've come here over the years and just gathered info as I needed it.
Recently I've found myself less interested in volume shooting of jacketed bullets for plinking and competition with modern rifles and more interested in cast bullets for my old time rifles. The only cast I used was for pistol, CAS,, and a Trapdoor made in 1887. Recently I've become more interested in shooting some oldies I have such as a Commission 1888 and M71/84. This got me thinking why not everything with cast?.
I''m not new to shooting nor reloading since I reloaded my first 8 x 57 rounds as a teenager circa 1975, former Marine, and having been to one of our esteemed military Armorers' school decades ago.
Since I found my searches bringing me here, and the refreshing openness and lack of egos, cliques, and intolerance of other forums, I thank you all for this oasis in the desert of shooting forums. Plus, you have real experts who take part like regular members here. No ignorant passage of old wives' tales either! Very refreshing.
Thank you again for this informative and peaceful source.
