Anyone know a gunsmith who will rechamber a rifle or rebarrel one?

I have had rifle, revolver and shotgun work done by John Taylor and have been pleased with the results.

Buy a Savage rifle, buy some barrels, and change barrels yourself. I have 13 barrels from 12" (Striker) to 26", 223, 22-250, 243, 7mm-08, 308; if I can do it anyone can. This week I got 26" 9" twist 223 for $120 delivered, and 22" 9" twist 223 for $65 delivered. Great triggers, all bbls shoot <1".

Micheal Merker in Hendersonville, NC does as good as can be found anywhere: [email protected].  Dennis Olson in Montana cannot be beat.  Lost his website, google will have it.

Thanks everyone for your input. It is good to know that there are still craftsmen out there and who they are.
