Hi all. My first attempt to sign up seems to have gone awry as I think the email system sent it to spam and it vanished. I saw a brief flash on the screen and it went poof like a too fast projectile. If I caused any issues for the admins, I apologize.

I have been learning the art of casting for about 15 years. I find there is always something to learn like any worthwhile endeavor. I've read many of the CBA blogs and enjoyed them all. Some of it I knew and some of it I didn't.

My molds and furnaces are mostly Lee with a small percentage of Lyman. My ingots are smelted from scrounged sources mostly WW from mom and pop tire shops. Pure lead from scrap dealers. Tin from radiator shops. I never walk past a potential source.

I have a few lever guns in 30-30 and .44 mag and that is my real favorite platform. I have a .45 Colt in a Ruger BH and a .357 in a Ruger SP-101. I have a few milsurps and 3 BP firearms I love to shoot. A 1851 replica cap and ball, A .45 cal CVA Kentucky pistol built from a kit and a .50 cal T/C Hawken that went through Hurricane Ike and is 90% ready to use. Just some cosmetic stuff left. Hard to find some slot head bugle head screws.

Anyway, I hope to fit in here somewhere and keep learning the craft.

Thanks guys. David, I'm about to be annexed by Texas City. I'm on 146 near Bacliff and have enjoyed being unincorporated. Not certain what they have in mind but it can't be good. I used to belong to the PSC but let it lapse. Are they still accepting members? I will sign up to be a CBA member. I was recently in your town buying some parts for my brush hog and a kid in the store made me think of the recent tragedy there. Almost too much to bear. Santa Fe is such a nice small town.

I have been a PSC member since 1981 and yes they are accepting members. If you want to rejoin I may have to give you some help, the membership director at PSC is a friend. He may get you move up on the list with a call from me. Just let me know.
