I have revisited a thread on BHN measurements by mtngun in July 2016, about a year ago.  Where there were photos a year ago there are now a small blue box with a question mark(?)

Is there a way to see the actual photos?

I have clicked on the blue box and nothing happened.  I right clicked and a dialog box opened from which I chose "open in a new window" I then got "Error message 404" file not found.

I was logged in at the time.

the " right click menu " ... is just from your computer system, not the cba forum .

i have to remind myself that there is a GOOD side to these computers ... honest .

Don't know just what the particulars are on this forum.  BUT on a lot of forums photo storage is eliminated after a certain size.  So if it reaches that point the old photos are eliminated to make room for the new.  Possibly the case here.  Or in the method I normally use you post a link to something like photo bucket or igmur and the photo would then automatically appear on the screen.  And obviously if that photo is deleted from photo bucket account it would also no longer appear.

We are still working on some software that will convert the missing photos so they are compatible for the new forum. Some of the photos are also just gone because they were stored on a "third party" site and are no longer there. I will look into these particular photos and see if I can move them over.

I was able to replace all the photos except for one post. Will work on it tomorrow.

That was the solution.  I can see them now!  Thanks David, great work, again.

I've used photobucket for many years on dozens of forums. They recently went to a "pay to play" system, and anyone that has used them for linking pictures lost that ability. I have now set up an Imgur account which hosts photos for free, but any of the pictures I posted on forums for the last 15 years are lost.
