When telling about my most recent .17 caliber rifle, I've got to admit that I did tell a lie. I said that I was going to shoot the rifle a bunch before I started reshaping the ugly shaped wood on such a nice little rifle. Well, I couldn't stand to look at it any longer, so today I pulled the forearm off and started reshaping to please my eye and also the eyes of others. It looks so much different than it did before. I'm ready to start sanding but I'm going to stick the forearm back on an do some shooting before I completely finish the job. I hope that I can refrain myself from reworking the buttstock for a little while longer. I dug out all of the .218 Bee cases that I could rummage out of my cache and called all over the place looking for more .218 brass. It was available on line but none of the stores in the area had any. I did find some 25-20 brass and was going to drive and get it tomorrow, to reform but the man I purchased the rifle from called and said he had found 200 new 218 Bee cases and the price was right. I now have about 3-4 hundred cases to form to .17 Ackley Bee brass. SORRY ABOUT THE LIE, I PROMISE NEVER TO TELL ANOTHER ONE. I can't understand why 25-20 brass is so cheap and .218 Bee brass is so expensive.
