I may very well be sold. If trigger is better or can be refined this is a great core for manipulation.

If price is good, I’d stop hoarding cadets!

As simple as this action is, I never could understand why some one hadn't picked up the gauntlet before now. But I suppose is had everything to do with demand for such etc. With the Handi rifle gone and the apparent success of the Henry, some one obviously thought that the time was right

I hope this is not one of those flash in the pan affairs and that if not that I will live long enough to see one. If in fact that the rifle does come to pass and the quality and price are there, this has been put at the top of my list. 30-30 or ……...

If it where priced at Rem/Sav/Ruger, bolt action prices, I'd buy one.

If the quality of the gat is commensurate with the price, I am quite interested in a 30-40 myself.

At that price point I would expect it to be like a CZ - look good and shoot good right out of the box. With a decent trigger.

I really like that peep sight.

For $1700 I'll pass. I'm not that intrigued. With AR style kits selling for well under 5 bills I'm not likely to pay so much for a single shot with a heavy trigger. In today's market with a Shiloh Sharps selling for $2k and up $1.7K seems quite high for a Martini. Too bad. Economies of scale being what they are though I'm not real surprised. The market seems to be AR style and plastic stocked bolt guns. Wood and metal doesn't seem to garner the demand.

This poor uneducated knave finds it hard to believe that the retail price that they are asking for that simple Martini is essentially the same as a new Ruger #1 or more than four of the new Henry SS's.

My thoughts are that I can buy a custom C. Sharps Arms 1875 for $1450. And it comes in 30/40 or about 15 other calibers. Workmanship is top drawer of any custom maker is the US. Having looked a Henry's ( that in my opinion are butt ugly with no good lines in the whole rifle) it is still only worth 50% more. So at $850 I would be interested, but not at twice that. Ric
