I have this old mold.......Ideal 430 220
Acquired it from Ebay and the previous owner claims it was designed for the .44 S&W American or just .44 American, a heeled bullet cartridge. The bullet heel is .415", with a pointed nose design at .430” diameter and and a single outside lube band, 220gr. as cast.
I have never seen this particular bullet number and have searched numerous old ideal catalogs back to just before 1900.
Any help with this mold would be helpful, especially seeing it cataloged would be great.
