Given the fact that the H&G 68 bullet shape works so well in most all 1911 and similar .45 ACP gats, I am surprised that no one offers a mold for a similar shaped bullet for say 9mm, .32, etc. Does the H&G 68 shape only work well with 1911 and similar pistols with a barrel that tilts as it unlocks?
In my own experience the 68 works in all 1911 guns that I have seen it tried in. It's roughly a truncated cone design with a wad cutter shoulder, so should be reasonably effective for serious use even if it does not expand.
So, what am I missing here, why do I only see this design used in .45 ACP? Has anyone tried scaling it down to other calibers?
