New CBA Site
Today marks a little over 2 weeks since our new website & forum was launched. This marks a new era for the CBA. The website & forum are now more secure, including the new CBA store. In addition, soon we will have Facebook & Google+ pages up & running, giving us more access through the internet & social media. With this we hope to attract more & younger members to the CBA. I will cover some of the highlights of the new forum, website & store. Before doing so I want everyone to know that when using the store for the first time on the new site, you must register when prompted to do so. Your old login information and your forum login will not work. You can set up the store registration with the same forum login so that both will work for both. But again, you must register in the store first to use it. The website now has an updated look, with better graphics and larger photos. From one easy to use menu you can go seamlessly to and from the website, forum & store. Now match results, schedules & changes can be posted without much effort. The gallery will be updated soon with more photos of matches, firearms & people who make up the CBA. This blog will highlight recent news pertaining to the CBA such as, membership & merchandise specials, new matches, recent member passings and much more. The new store is much easier to use than the old one and offers a shopping cart similarly found on other e-commerce site. We can now offer special discount coupons that can easily entered when checking out. It features a safe seamless transition to PayPal, where you can pay with your credit or debit card and with an existing PayPal account. Remember, you do not have to have a PayPal account to pay for merchandise or memberships. The new forum, while still in the process of tweaking, will be much easier to use. It will feature all the same tools as the old forum, but with faster & easier access. All of the old forum posts have been imported, or about 95% to this point and we are in the process of importing of all the old private messages. The new forum also has new features attractive to new, old & younger forum users such as leaderboard, activity & badges. One of the best new features of the forum is that it makes it much harder or maybe even hack proof from the recent invasions we have experienced. Until next time, David Reiss, CBA Membership Director
